The Latest

Late Winter 2012
Hello out there. Its 2012! Yes, Im in Portlandia. Its very interesting here. I do miss the Bay Area...San Francisco...The GG bridge, the sun.. I am still playing with the orchestra. The winter concert was great .The Orchestra performed Copland Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo:Buckaroo Holiday, Coral Nocturne, Hoe-Down and Saturday Night Waltz. In addition Coplands Lincoln Portrait, narrated by Portland radio personality Edmund Stone. It was epic! Also performed,John Corigliano Elegy for Orchestra and Edward Elgar's Wand of Youth, Suite No. 1. The percussion section was superb. I have a great Jazz quartet called The Bridgetown Jazz Quartet that plays weekly in Washington State. Last week I had the pleasure of seeing my old friend Joey Calderazzo in concert and was totally blown away by his genius. We had a blast after the concert with Branford Marsalis, who was a very nice gracious guy. And made some news friend as well.

Recent media work: Working on multiple recording projects with my production partner Josh Lava, who is the second best musician I know.We produced music for San Francsico's "Bay To Brakers" Marathon TV Spots.

I think everybody knows in the fall I played a SRO show at The Bitter End in NYC with the amazing Josh Fix (Tony Tino on the bass) and did some work with (my secret girlfriend) Ronnie Spector. I love Ronnie...always a blast.

Ronnies band was amazing, a who's-who of New York talent-Danny Obadia,Jeremy Chatzky, Joe Mcginty,Jenni Muldaur,Elaine Caswell, knobturner Daniel Rey, Dave Keyes and Bette Sussman (who I always wanted to work with). Google some of these names to find who these people have worked with, truly amazing.

Anyway,Im off to Pro tools land- working on my first solo release. I am calling it "Night of The Notables". ...stay tuned...and remember..."Chance Favors the prepared"
