AUGUST 2006 The tour, covering nine countries including the UK, was in support of Ronnie's new album The Last Of The Rock Stars, featuring performances by the Raveonettes, Keith Richards, Patti Smith, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's Nick Zinner. A few days prior to Ronnie's scheduled departure, Jonathan Greenfield -- her husband and manager of 25 years -- was rushed to a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts for emergency surgery. The July 4 operation was successful, but Jonathan remains in the hospital for further treatment and observation. Ronnie Spector has issued the following statement: "This tour meant so much to me that nothing less than a crisis would have prevented me from performing. But at this critical time, I needed to be with my husband and my children. Jonathan and I hope to reschedule as many of these dates as we can, as soon as possible. For now, we thank everyone for their understanding and support."
